    A new chapter of Flesh and Blood begins with Silver Age, an entirely new way to play using only common, rare, and basic cards. Featuring the iconic roster of young heroes, games are fast, fun, and friendly on the wallet!

     

    Silver Age will be supported at all levels of play, from casual throwdowns at your local game store, to the high-stakes competition of the World Tour.

     

    Each unit contains a competitively crafted 55 card Silver Age deck, hero, basic cards, and 1 booster pack of set 18.

    Card-Pool Construction Rules
    Each player registers their young hero card and 55 cards that make up their card-pool. The card-pool includes arena-cards (weapons and equipment), and deck-cards that will start in the player’s deck. All cards must be either common, rare, or basic rarity (formerly token rarity), including hero cards.

    A card is considered common, rare, or basic rarity if it has ever been printed with that rarity. For example, Bravo, Flattering Showman was printed at rare rarity in the Bravo Demo Deck, so it is considered a rare card despite also being printed at Majestic rarity in Smash Palace.

    A card can only be included in a player’s card-pool if the card’s class/talents are a subset of the hero’s class/talents (e.g. a Light talent card can only be included in a card-pool if the hero has a Light talent). Generic cards can be included in any card-pool.

    A card-pool may contain up to 2 copies of each unique card. A card is unique if it has a different name AND color from another card (e.g. Snatch (red) is unique compared to Snatch (blue) because they have different colors).

    These rules are subject to the effects of the hero or cards in the card-pool, which may allow or limit what cards can be included. (e.g. Heroes with “Essence” allow certain talented cards to be included, even if the hero doesn’t have the same talent. Cards with “Legendary” limit themselves to only 1 in the card-pool.)

    Card Legality Policy
    We believe card legality and format management is a vital element to earning the respect of TCG fans and achieving longevity as a game system.

    Our philosophy to card legality has been built into the DNA of our product design and organised play program, and aims to:

    Create dynamic metagames for constructed tournament play
    Support long term utility of card ownership
    New Card Legality Date
    New cards become legal for official tournament play on the release date of the product they are from.

    Revolving Card Legality – Living Legend
    Flesh and Blood uses a revolving card legality model where cards flow in and out of being legal for tournament play.

    A tournament legal constructed deck may only include generic cards and cards that share the same class and/or talent as the hero card used. Therefore, it’s hero cards which ultimately determine the tournament legality of all non-generic cards that exist in Flesh and Blood.

    A hero stops being legal when it has attained Living Legend status (but will remain legal in Living Legend format).

    Becoming a Living Legend
    A Living Legend check will occur every Monday (United States time). At the time of this check, any hero that has crossed the threshold officially attains Living Legend status. That hero, along with their signature weapon, will no longer be legal for official tournament play effective from the Friday of that same week.

    The threshold is 1000 points.

    Gaining Living Legend Points
    A hero gains Living Legend points by winning tournaments that award Living Legend points.

    During their first year of legality, a hero’s earned points are halved. During their second year, earned points have no multiplier. In all other subsequent years, earned points are multiplied by 1.5.
